Some advice when running for or deciding to run for a board position:
Make sure that you care deeply for the organization. You must be prepared to work and to see your role as a responsibility and a commitment of time and energy.
Be open minded and reponsive to the needs of our members.
Board service can be a gift to oneself. It can return many times the value of what you have unselfishly given.
